Forbes' Cash Queens of Music

Ah, my lovely lists are back. Delicious!

Forbes just released their very first Cash Queens of Music, the highest earning women in music between June 2006 and June 2007.

And there must be a God because Spears isn't even in the top 10. Can you guess who the top three are? Here's some hints...

1. Our #3 Top Earner once performed a duet with R. Kelly. Yes, really.
2. This #2 Money Maker is rumored to have once dated Andre Agassi.
3. The #1 Cash Queen worked at Arby's as a teenager.

For more details, check out the complete article.

Speechless, indeed.

Whew. Support your writers, folks.
In the meantime, enjoy this little slice of Heaven.

Happy Belated New Year!

Well, I fell into quite an abyss this holiday season, hence the Boardroom Broad neglect. Rest assured, I'm back with vim and vigor.

Case in point, here's a story that caught my eye earlier today about a racey ad depicting "artistic" nuns in a sketching circle that has the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts in an uproar.

Let me say that I do consider myself a Catholic, despite that most of my principles go against the grain. You be the judge.

Does this offend you?

WSJ's 50 Women To Watch 2007

Christmas came early for Boardroom Broad.

A fantastic and inspiring feature debuted today in the Wall Street Journal examining the 50 Women to Watch in 2007. Not only does it give a sortable list of the 50, but also dives deeper with a panel of top women executives discussing issues facing women in business (see below), a corresponding podcast and other goodies.

Way to shatter my productivity this morning, WSJ.

Topping the list is Angela Braly, President and CEO of Wellpoint with, no surprise, our favorite PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi at a close second. Sidenote: I'm glad the mainstream media is starting to notice Nooyi as a unique and charismatic person. Why oh why can't she be our first female president? I'm somewhat disenchanted with Hillary these days...but I digress. Nooyi is profiled in greater detail here.

Others gracing the list include Meg Whitman (eBay), Susan Arnold, (P & G), Sue Decker (Yahoo!), Amy Pascal (Sony), to name a few. I am VERY pleased to say that Dottie Mattison (SVP, Wal-Mart) doesn't grace the list until the 30s. I'm so over Wal-Mart's global domination, I could scream.

This is a MUST READ for all you broads out there. Outstanding!
